Pre-Kindergarten

The Texas Legislature determines eligibility requirements for free, public prekindergarten in Texas. Therefore the eligibility is limited.  Tatum ISD offers a free full day Pre-K program for eligible students who turn 4 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year in which they intend to enroll.  The focus of the pre-kindergarten program is to develop oral language, prerequisite skills for emergent readers, early math concepts, and to build readiness skills for successful entry into kindergarten.
